1. Booking & Payment
1.1 A booking is confirmed once the completed booking form is received and full payment has been made.
1.2 Payments must be made by the methods specified at the time of booking.
1.3 Prices are listed in GBP (£) and include instruction unless otherwise stated. Travel, accommodation, food, and personal equipment are not included unless explicitly specified.
2. Eligibility & Fitness
2.1 Participants must be aged 18 years or over.
2.2 By booking, participants confirm they are physically fit, medically able, and have the necessary level of mobility to take part in mountain walking activities.
2.3 Any medical conditions, allergies, or disabilities that may affect participation must be disclosed at the time of booking.
3. Participant Responsibility
3.1 Mountain navigation courses take place in remote and potentially hazardous environments. Participants accept that activities involve inherent risks, including but not limited to rough terrain, adverse weather, and limited access to emergency services.
3.2 Participants must follow all safety instructions given by the instructor. Failure to do so may result in removal from the course without refund.
3.3 Participants are responsible for bringing suitable clothing, footwear, food, water, and personal equipment as advised in the pre-course information.
4. Weather & Course Changes
4.1 Mountain weather is unpredictable. Courses will run in most conditions where it is safe to do so.
4.2 The instructor reserves the right to alter the course location, itinerary, or learning objectives to maintain safety and educational value.
4.3 If conditions are deemed unsafe, the course may be postponed, relocated, or cancelled. In such cases, participants will be offered an alternative date or a refund at the provider’s discretion.
5. Cancellation by the Participant

6. Cancellation by the Provider
6.1 The provider reserves the right to cancel a course due to instructor illness, unsafe conditions, or insufficient participant numbers (28 days notice will be given in the latter instance).
6.2 In the event of cancellation by the provider, participants will be offered a full refund or the option to transfer to an alternative date. In such cases, liability is limited to a refund of the fees or transfer to an alternative date. No compensation for travel, accommodation, or other expenses will be provided.
7. Insurance
7.1 The provider holds appropriate public liability and professional indemnity insurance.
7.2 Participants are strongly advised to have their own personal travel and activity insurance covering outdoor and mountain activities.
8. Liability
8.1 The provider will take all reasonable steps to ensure participant safety but cannot accept responsibility for loss, damage, or injury resulting from risks inherent to mountain activities, except where caused by negligence.
8.2 Personal belongings are the responsibility of the participant at all times.
9. Photography & Media
9.1 The provider may take photographs or videos during the course for promotional purposes.
9.2 Participants who do not wish to appear in such media must notify the provider in writing before the course.
10. Data Protection
10.1 Personal data will be stored and processed in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR).
10.2 Personal information will only be used for course administration and will not be shared with third parties without consent unless required by law.
11. Governing Law
11.1 These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales (or Scotland, if applicable).
11.2 Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the UK courts.
